The New Central School, ... between ... and ...
Shortly before leaving Hongkong, I visited the Central School, which had just been opened, in company with some Members of the Board of Education. When I found that the school rooms were overcrowded, and several applications for admission had been refused in consequence, I promised to consider favourably an application for the erection of new school rooms and classrooms for the accommodation of additional Scholars. I have no doubt that the School has been entirely successful, and that it has worked in a manner I recommended.
